Build/Erase
Build/Erase is a group exhibition examining building and erasure as connected creative, geological, and communicative processes. The exhibition considers how artists work through addition and subtraction, light and darkness, legibility and illegibility, as well as how landforms shift and erode. Its monochromatic presentation explores how a restrained, minimalist approach can create expansive possibilities and hold a viewer’s attention. The exhibition also reflects on rituals that begin in small gestures, accumulate, dissipate, and sometimes return in a changed form.
The exhibition includes Sarah J. Hull’s *A Line Segment* and work by Rachael Bohlander, Ellen Cornett, Ramin Etemadi-Bozorg, Jonathan Ottke, Lisa Rosenstein, Esha Sadr, Monica Stroik, and Ying Zhu. It is curated by Liz Ashe with support from Mary Pat Norton.
