Specialists bring their NYC dance-rock sound to Jammin Java for a live performance featuring Tobin James Jr., Lena Traynham, and Josee Molavi. Formed in 2017, Specialists are led by songwriters Billy Harden on guitar and vocals and Mikey Rotunno on bass and vocals. Their music combines funky grooves, split lead vocals, intricate musicianship, and pop-minded arrangements, while their live show is known for its energy and infectious performance style. The band’s latest full-length album, *Hole in the Wall*, presents their self-described “Dance-Rock” style.

Lena Traynham is a second-generation DC-area musician whose original music blends indie pop, twang, and rock. Her releases include the 2024 single “Brick by Brick,” the debut EP *twenty somethin’*, and the heartbreak-inspired single “Break Down Easy,” accompanied by her debut music video.

Tobin James Jr. is an African American singer, songwriter, and musician from Falls Church, Virginia, now based in Frederick, Maryland. His funky, engaging sound draws on funk, R&B, alternative rock, hip-hop, and punk, with influences including Prince, Rick James, Michael Jackson, George Clinton, and Vulfpeck. His catalog includes multiple singles and EPs as well as the studio album *Bops Per Minute*.
