Romero Lubambo and Chico Pinheiro - Brazilian Jazz Series

Romero Lubambo and Chico Pinheiro, two of Brazil’s most celebrated guitarists, come together for a special evening as part of the Brazilian Jazz Series at Blues Alley. Lubambo, who brought a distinctive Brazilian jazz guitar sound to the United States in 1985, blends the rhythms of his native heritage with American jazz tradition, creating a unique improvisational style. He has performed and recorded with a vast array of artists including Dianne Reeves, Michael Brecker, Yo-Yo Ma, and Diana Krall, and is a founding member of the Grammy-nominated Trio Da Paz. Chico Pinheiro, born and raised in São Paulo, began his career as a studio guitarist at age 14 and has been twice nominated for American Grammy Awards (2019 and 2020). His debut album “Meia Noite Meio Dia” was a critical success in Brazil and featured guest vocalists Lenine, Ed Motta, Chico César, and Maria Rita. Together, they promise an evening of virtuosic guitar work blending Brazilian music, classical, and jazz.

Showtimes: One performance at 5:30 PM. Doors open at 4:30 PM (Sunday schedule).

Tickets: $35 plus $7 in fees. Final sale; no refunds and not transferable. A $15 food and beverage minimum per person is not included in the ticket price.
