Hilary Bond: Memory & Present
Hilary Bond's exhibition _Memory & Present_ at Foundry Gallery explores the relationship between memory, place, and visual storytelling through the combined mediums of photography, painting, and graphic design. Bond draws inspiration from personal travels and the aesthetics of analog image-making, using Polaroid photographs as emotional memory objects that she paints directly onto, and creating graphic works inspired by vintage film strips printed on aluminum. The exhibition examines how experiences are preserved, transformed, and remembered over time. Bond is a painter and photographer whose work is shaped by rigorous study and professional practice; she is a Maryland native who earned a diploma in fine arts from the Baltimore School for the Arts in 2003.
