Ben Tufts and Friends present: Spirit of '76

Ben Tufts and Friends return with “Spirit of ’76,” a celebratory concert built around the music that filled radios and concert halls in 1976. The show marks Ben Tufts’s 50th birthday and continues his long-running series of concerts featuring DMV musicians.

The evening will draw from the catalogs of artists including ABBA, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Boston, Cat Stevens, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Hall & Oates, Heart, Joni Mitchell, Led Zeppelin, Peter Frampton, Rush, Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder, The Band, The Ramones, Thin Lizzy, Tom Petty, and Warren Devon.

For 15 years, Tufts has presented themed concerts benefiting the Craig Tufts Fund, created in memory of his father, Craig, who died from brain cancer in 2009. Hosted by the National Wildlife Federation, where Craig served as chief naturalist for 30 years, the fund sends a young nature enthusiast to an annual weeklong Family Nature Summit focused on nature appreciation and conservation.
