Artist Fellow Hannah Baker Saltmarsh and collaborative partner Sarah Antine will present a brief lesson on the use of flowers as a symbolic language. *The Folger Institute is a center for early modern research at the Folger Shakespeare Library that brings public audiences together with researchers to explore the cultures and legacies of the early modern world.

Artist Fellow Hannah Baker Saltmarsh and collaborative partner Sarah Antine will present a brief lesson on the use of flowers as a symbolic language. Participants will then have time to playfully experiment with a wide array of mixed media art and materials, texts, and floral symbolism to create their own visual collage poems. Children are welcome to accompany adult participants free of charge.
