Dancing Queen of 1518 - A Rhizome LARP

Dancing Queen of 1518 is a historical live-action role-playing game set in September 1518 in the Free Imperial City of Straßburg. Participants confront two crises: a plague of compulsive dancing spreading through the streets and mounting demands to reform the Roman Catholic Church. The game blends improvisation, theater, physical movement, crafts, and silent-disco elements, inviting players to dance and make difficult decisions within the historical setting.

This is the world debut of a game submitted to the Golden Cobra Challenge 2026. The LARP is open to everyone, including both newcomers and experienced players.
