Designing Through The Geometry

Designing Through The Geometry is a two-series exhibition by Argentinian artist Maria Santiago, presented in the Community Gallery at Harmony Hall Arts Center. The show brings together the series Jupiter Background in Black and Time, both of which explore how color and time interact. Santiago treats time as an invisible but constant movement that connects past, present, and future, showing up in small changes and transformations. While time is always in motion, the background in her work remains quiet and still, with geometric shapes appearing inside a circular format as the sense of passing time unfolds. The mixed-media pieces emphasize texture and bright colors against structured geometric forms.

The exhibition runs for just over a month in Fort Washington, Maryland, and is open to visitors during the gallery’s regular weekly hours.
