National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine

The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, one of Eastern Europe’s most distinguished ensembles, makes a stop at George Mason University’s Center for the Arts on Sunday, January 31, 2027, at 3 p.m. Under the baton of Grammy Award–winning conductor Volodymyr Sirenko, the orchestra presents a program of four works: Dmitry Bortniansky’s overture to *Il Quinto Fabio*, Felix Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor (featuring 2024 Queen Elisabeth Competition winner Dmytro Udovychenko), Valentin Silvestrov’s *Silent Songs*, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5. The performance is expected to run approximately two hours, including intermission, and is appropriate for all ages.
