Gracie Jay
Gracie Jay performs at The Kreeger Museum as part of Jazz at The Kreeger, a series presented in collaboration with Elijah Jamal Balbed that highlights musical talent from the Washington metropolitan area. Jay is an arranger and vocalist whose performance and recording credits include Cyrille Aimée, Nicholas Payton, Camille Thurman, and Jamison Ross.
She will appear with pianist Ryan Hanseler, bassist William Ledbetter, and drummer Chrishawn Darby. In addition to her work as a jazz vocalist and arranger, Jay leads the Colorado-based band J-Calvin and performs in solo and group projects. Her original works have been presented by the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Next Generation Big Band, and New Guard Big Band, and she has performed at events and venues including the DC Jazz Festival, the John F. Kennedy Center, the Tucson Jazz Festival, the French Quarter Festival, and the Telluride Jazz Festival. She holds degrees in vocal performance, professional music, arranging, and composition from Berklee College of Music and North Carolina Central University.

Admission: Tickets include access to the museum galleries and Sculpture Garden. Ticket-holders may enter through the front entrance beginning at 1:30pm to explore the museum before the performance.

Cancellation policy: Refunds are available only for cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance. Guests who need to cancel should email the museum as soon as possible so their seat can be offered to another attendee.
Parking: Onsite parking is extremely limited, and rideshare use is strongly encouraged.
