Great Lake Swimmers

Great Lake Swimmers, led by Tony Dekker, bring their atmospheric indie-folk to Jammin Java with support from Colleen Brown. Their sound combines acoustic instrumentation, pastoral rural textures, and intimate, wistful vocals, shaped by years of recording in resonant spaces such as old silos and country churches.

The performance is part of the Jammin Java/Union Stage Presents 25th anniversary concert series. The band is expected to feature music from *Caught Light*, their October 2025 album recorded in Ontario’s Ganaraska Forest, which draws on early-1970s folk-pop while emphasizing spontaneity and direct songwriting. Great Lake Swimmers have been recognized by the Polaris Music Prize and Canada’s Juno Awards, and are known for live performances blending homespun folk with lush Americana.
