610 F Street Northwest, Washington, DC

Adult Classes at Shakespeare Theatre Company offer adults a welcoming way to build community, explore artistic interests, and develop theatre skills, regardless of prior experience. The featured fall class, “Appreciating Shakespeare: Magic, Monsters, and Myths,” uses discussion, activities, and close readings to examine magic, the supernatural, and legendary creatures in Shakespeare’s plays. Participants will consider these themes through the perspectives of actors, directors, and scholars, including how such fantastical elements were staged in the Elizabethan era and why they remain compelling today.

When: Mondays, November 2–December 7, 2026

Showtimes: 6:30–8:30 p.m. each Monday

Tickets: Tuition is $300 for the six-week class. A $10 deposit is required from every participant to reserve a place. Financial aid and payment plans are available.
