The Stand-Up Showcase returns to the DC Improv’s Lounge for a three-night run from Friday, July 24 through Sunday, July 26, 2026. This showcase presents five outstanding stand-up comedians drawn from the DC, Maryland, Virginia, and beyond scenes, performing on one of the country’s most famous stages. The evening features a variety of comedic styles, from sharp crowd work and multicultural perspectives to laid-back observational humor, polished southern storytelling, and quirky absurdist bits. The showcase is produced by the DC Improv and is expected to last approximately 90 minutes.

All-in Price: $26.50 per person, which includes all service charges.

Lineup Details: Benny Nwokeabia, born in Washington DC to Nigerian and Ethiopian parents and raised in Geneva, Switzerland, brings a multilingual, multicultural perspective and has performed at the Netflix Is a Joke Festival. Amber Hendrix, based in Richmond, Virginia, is a comedian and producer who has contributed to Reductress and The Hard Times and opened for Dave Attell and others. Tyler Horvath, a New York City comedian, is known for his laid-back observational style and has amassed over 25 million views on social media; he was a featured performer at the 2022 Flyover Comedy Festival. Apple Brown Betty, hailing from Richmond, VA, uses a polished southern style to tackle taboo topics and was selected as a Rising Star of Comedy by Bob Sumner. Matty Litwack, a former physics PhD student turned comedian, has written for the Washington Post and performed at festivals including Limestone, Laughing Skull, and San Francisco Sketchfest; he was a finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival.
