BUMPER CAR SQUARES

Bumper Car Squares at Glen Echo Park returns for an afternoon of square dancing fun on Sunday, July 5, 2026. Hosted by Partnership Dances, this monthly event begins with a square dance introduction lesson open to all skill levels, followed by live music and calling that gets everyone do-si-doing and swinging their partners. The dance takes place in the climate‑controlled Ballroom Back Room, so weather is never an issue.

When: Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 2:45pm to 5:30pm.
Showtimes: Introductory lesson runs from 2:45pm to 3pm; square dancing with live music from 3pm to 5:30pm.
Caller: Caroline Barnes leads the square dance.
Band: Strings on Wings provides live music for the dance.
Tickets: Discounted advance tickets are $12 for adults (online only, sales end at 11:59pm the night before). Same‑day tickets are $15 for adults (online or at the door), $5 for teens (at the door only), and free for ages 12 and under (at the door only). Cash, check, or credit card accepted. All sales final.
Ages: All ages welcome; no partner or special attire required. Shoes with backs recommended (no flip flops).
Venue: Ballroom Back Room at Glen Echo Park, 7300 MacArthur Blvd., Glen Echo, MD 20812. The space is climate‑controlled.
