VILÉM SPILKA

Czech guitarist and composer Vilém Spilka brings his quartet to the DC Jazz Festival, performing as part of the Labor Day weekend celebration at The Wharf. Active on the jazz scene since 1994, Spilka also teaches at JAMU (Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts) in Brno. His latest album, *Waiting for Tom*, earned an Angel Award nomination, highlighting his distinctive voice in contemporary jazz.
