Fairfax Symphony Orchestra presents a concert led by conductor Christopher Zimmerman, featuring acclaimed harpist Yolanda Kondonassis as soloist. The program pairs Ginastera’s virtuosic Harp Concerto with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, “Pastoral,” a joyful musical depiction of nature, including flowing streams, birdsong, and the calm of the countryside. The concert also includes a world premiere of a new work by Hochstatter, whose title has not yet been announced.
