Stand-Up Showcase
The Stand-Up Showcase at the DC Improv brings five talented comedians together for an evening of stand-up in the club’s intimate Lounge. Running from Friday, August 21 through Sunday, August 23, 2026, the show presents a rotating lineup of performers from the DC, Maryland, Virginia area and beyond. Attendees can expect a mix of comedic styles, up-close performances on a famous downtown stage, and a lively atmosphere that supports local talent and local business. The showcase typically lasts about 90 minutes and offers multiple showtimes each night.
When: Friday, August 21 through Sunday, August 23, 2026. Showtimes are Friday at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM, Saturday at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM, and Sunday at 7:00 PM.
Tickets: All-in price (including service charges) is $26.50 per ticket.
Lineup: The featured comedians are Kade Wonders, Garrett Harvest, Aminah Imani, Randy Syphax, and Jamal Russell. Kade Wonders brings a playful and disarming style, often riffing on gender, masculinity, and everyday life, and has performed with Don’t Tell Comedy and opened for Nico Carney, Heather Shaw, and Michael Yo. Garrett Harvest, a Baltimore-based comic originally from New Jersey, finds humor in the overlooked details of ordinary suburban life. Aminah Imani, who hails from Atlanta and works in New York City, has appeared on Peacock’s “New York After Dark,” Paramount’s “Inside Amy Schumer,” Showtime’s “Flatbush Misdemeanors,” and Hulu’s “Up Early Tonight”; she was also named a Just For Laughs New Face in 2023 and has performed at Lincoln Center and the Apollo Theatre. Randy Syphax has appeared on The Tonight Show, been featured in The New York Times, and was named one of Comedy Central’s Comics to Watch, with credits on NBC, MTV, and STARZ. Jamal Russell, a DC-based comedian with six years of experience, has performed at venues like the Ice House in LA and Caroline’s on Broadway, and won Comedy Kumite XL in 2025.
