Frida…A Self Portrait is a solo theatrical portrait of the celebrated Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. Set on the eve of Kahlo’s death, the piece explores the pain, passion, isolation, and extraordinary experiences of her life. Brazilian writer and performer Vanessa Severo creates a physical and emotionally direct connection between herself and Kahlo, bringing the artist’s story to the stage with a blend of raw honesty and visual richness.
