David Amoroso: Four Gallery Exhibits and Open Studios

Artists & Makers Studios hosts David Amoroso for a month-long, multi-gallery exhibition and open studios event. The exhibit, titled ICON-A-RAMA!, runs from March 31 through April 22 and features portraits of Pop Culture Icons chosen for their courage, authenticity, and rebellion, including social justice leaders, activists, and figures from contemporary music and entertainment. The artist’s intent is to foster community, drive social change, and offer a sense of belonging and hope. Alongside Amoroso’s work, Ann Corbett mounts a mini-solo exhibit in the Lounge Gallery, and the sculptural work of Francis Maduka Uduh is displayed in studio 11. Nineteen Gallery 209 Member Artists also exhibit their latest work throughout the building. The event kicks off with a First Friday reception on April 3, and the artist will be present for Maryland Artist Open Studios on April 11–12.
