Jessica Lea Mayfield

Jessica Lea Mayfield was scheduled to perform at Songbyrd Music House with supporting act Rachel Bobbitt. The event was presented as an indie, folk, and singer-songwriter concert, with Mayfield’s description focusing on the personal upheaval and spiritual and emotional changes surrounding her recording of “Miss Obliteration,” which was delayed for several years before its anticipated release.

Rachel Bobbitt’s music draws on her upbringing in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley, a musical family background, and later experiences studying jazz and vocal pedagogy at Humber College. Her debut album, *Swimming Towards the Sand*, reflects on memory, home, resilience, and the pressures of early internet fame; as a teenager, she built a large audience on Vine through covers and original songs.
