Imam Collective

The Imam Collective, led by guitarist, composer, and educator Hasan Imam Hamdani, brings an intercultural celebration of string traditions to the Mansion at Strathmore. The group’s work is built around dialogue between musical cultures, with a particular focus on how string instruments and playing practices connect across global traditions. Hamdani’s project *Strings Across Traditions* explores shared histories and modern-day relationships among these instruments, while his recorded work reflects similar ambitions: his debut EP *Solitude* blends West African and Indian classical music, and his latest release *Averroes* takes inspiration from the 12th-century philosopher Ibn Rushd and the link between philosophy and music. The performance offers a chance to hear this cross-cultural string-focused collaboration in an intimate general admission setting.

Note: Parking is free in the Mansion lot on a space-available basis. Dining is not currently available at Mansion performances, but a complimentary glass of wine is offered before the show to guests 21 and older. Seating is general admission and first come, first served. The venue’s ticket exchange policy allows flexibility if plans change, and refunds are available if a show is cancelled or postponed.
