George Pelecanos — The Blue Flame — at Conn Ave

George Pelecanos, the bestselling author and Emmy-nominated writer for HBO’s *The Wire* and *Treme*, appears at Politics and Prose to launch his new novel, *The Blue Flame*. This latest book brings back private investigator Derek Strange in a gripping D.C.-set story that explores revenge, greed, and redemption. Strange takes on a case for a drug lawyer trying to prove an alibi for an accused murderer, pulling him into conflict with dangerous criminals and a police department that dislikes his involvement. The evening will feature Pelecanos discussing his work and the novel, with a book signing likely to follow.
