Fall Big Band Showcase: UMD Jazz Ensemble, UMD Jazz Lab Band and University Jazz Band

The three bands are part of a vibrant jazz program at the University of Maryland. The UMD Jazz Ensemble, the flagship group, frequently performs at off-campus events including the Maryland Music Educators Association annual conference and local jazz festivals, and is one of three elite bands that performs each year at the Calvin Jones Big Band Jazz Festival in Washington, D.C.
