Knox brings his Midwest-rooted blend of pop-punk, emo, and alternative music to 9:30 Club, with Emi Grace also on the bill. The performance supports Knox’s second full-length album, *My Midwest Best*, a 12-track collection shaped by the nostalgic energy of early-2000s pop-punk and the artist’s memories of growing up near Dayton, Ohio.

Knox discovered music in New Carlisle, Ohio, and drew early inspiration from Fall Out Boy, All-American Rejects, Boys Like Girls, Panic! At The Disco, Hawthorne Heights, and other scene-defining acts. After moving to Nashville in 2019 and working as a songwriter, he stepped forward as a solo artist in 2022 with “Sneakers,” followed by the widely streamed “Not The 1975.” His 2025 debut album, *Going, Going, Gone*, led to sold-out shows, festival appearances, collaborations with Bilmuri and HARDY, and support from Ed Sheeran and Matt Healy.

For *My Midwest Best*, Knox reunited with collaborators Todd Tran and Cam Becker to create a more direct, high-energy record inspired by the music of his youth. Songs including “After The Afterparty,” “4.3 Forty,” “Better Than Me,” and “Sad Song” explore heartbreak, nostalgia, vulnerability, and the desire to give audiences big moments to sing back at concerts.

Music: Knox’s set draws from *My Midwest Best*, his second full-length album, as well as material from his 2025 debut, *Going, Going, Gone*. The new album is described as a 12-song return to his Midwest roots, combining crunchy guitars, energetic pop-punk arrangements, emo-influenced lyrics, group vocals, and anthemic choruses.

Background: Knox grew up near Dayton, Ohio, where everyday small-town experiences shaped his connection to music and inspired the themes of his new album. He began writing and releasing music as a solo artist after working behind the scenes in Nashville, and has since accumulated hundreds of millions of streams, performed at festivals including Lollapalooza and Hangout Fest, and sold out venues such as Webster Hall.
