Crazy Chester - A Very Carrboro Tribute To The Band & The Last Waltz 50th Anniversary Tour w/ JP Hudson

Crazy Chester is a Carrboro tribute ensemble devoted to The Band. The group recreates most of The Band’s celebrated Thanksgiving Day 1976 farewell concert, later captured in Martin Scorsese’s 1978 film *The Last Waltz*. This touring performance marks the 50th anniversary of that concert and includes additional musicians and local guest performers covering songs originally performed in the film by artists including Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young.

Formed in early 2020 for one-off performances in North Carolina’s Piedmont region, Crazy Chester features musicians from several regional groups. The complete list of guest performers for this show has not yet been announced.
