New Member Artist Spotlight

Foundry Gallery presents the New Member Artist Spotlight, a group exhibition running June 5–28, 2026, that showcases the work of four new gallery members: Bart Dluhy, Luisa Zanforlin, Deborah Maklowski, and Susanne Kamalieh. The exhibition offers a cohesive yet varied look at each artist’s distinct visual practice, ranging from intricate patterned wood panels and expressive paintings of memory and connection to mixed-media beadwork and layered skyscapes with delicate line patterns. An opening reception will be held on June 6 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.

Artists and featured works: Bart Dluhy creates intricate patterned works on wood panel that explore structure, rhythm, and emotion through repeated lines and circles, using bold saturated colors and layered geometric forms. Luisa Zanforlin’s paintings explore moods, memory, and emotional relationships between people and environments, capturing fleeting encounters and intimate experiences through dynamic gestures and expressive compositions. Deborah Maklowski combines beads, acrylic paint, and layered materials to create mixed-media works inspired by natural forms and shifting environments, transforming familiar scenery into richly textured visual experiences. Susanne Kamalieh produces layered works that combine luminous skyscapes with intricate line patterns, exploring atmosphere, movement, and human perception; her atmospheric backgrounds serve as foundations for delicate networks of lines that suggest currents, pathways, or unseen energies.
