Urinetown

George Mason School of Theater presents *Urinetown*, a comic musical satire that takes aim at capitalism, privatization, bureaucracy, environmental crisis, municipal politics, and musical theater itself. In a city devastated by a 20-year drought, the government bans private toilets and forces residents to use public facilities controlled by a profit-driven company. When a determined citizen organizes a rebellion against this system, the result is both hilariously absurd and unexpectedly earnest.

The production is written by Greg Kotis and Mark Hollmann, directed by James Gardiner, with musical direction by Paige Rammelkamp and choreography by Ariel Kraje.
