Raul Midón

Raul Midón brings his soulful singing, virtuosic guitar playing, and distinctive blend of soul, jazz, and Latin music to the Mansion at Strathmore. Blind since birth, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter is renowned as a “one-man band,” using his guitar and voice to create the sound of an entire ensemble.

The performance celebrates the 20th anniversary of Midón’s breakthrough album, *State of Mind*, which Elton John praised as a soul classic. It also features music from *Lost & Found*, Midón’s 2024 album and 13th major release, on which he explores new sounds through agile melodies, expressive vocals, and story-driven songwriting. Over his career, he has collaborated with artists including Shakira, Spike Lee, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg, and Roberta Flack.
