Wild Flowers: Rock’s Iconic Women is a solo exhibition by Washington, DC–based artist Heidi Phelps. The show honors women who have shaped rock music across generations, presenting bold, hand-printed screen portraits alongside flowers chosen for their symbolic associations. Through vivid color and a feminist perspective, Phelps connects music history, mythology, personal strength, and cultural influence.

The exhibition includes an opening reception, a panel discussion on representation and visibility in the arts, and a live screen-printing session. The opening reception will feature Phelps discussing the research, stories, and creative process behind the series.

Opening Reception: Friday, December 5, at 7:00pm

Panel Discussion: Friday, December 12, at 7:00pm

Live Screen Printing: Saturday, December 20, from 12:00–4:00pm. Screen printer Beth Hansen of The Arcade DC will demonstrate on-site printing, with guests able to have their own rock T-shirt or a limited-edition art print printed.

Gallery Hours: Thursdays and Fridays, 12:00–4:00pm; weekends, 12:00–4:00pm; Monday through Wednesday by appointment.

Tickets: The opening reception and panel are free. Suggested donations benefit Girls Rock! DC, which supports girls, trans youth, and nonbinary youth through music and mentorship. No separate admission price is provided for regular gallery visits.
