Alejandro Rutty, a composer and bassist, presents music from *Why Bass?*, an ongoing project that investigates the extended-range electric bass as a solo instrument and as part of collaborations with other musicians. The program combines South American music, jazz, classical music, and experimental traditions, bringing together lyrical melodies, complex rhythms, and exploratory textures.
