Wax + DJ Hoppa with Grieves

Wax and DJ Hoppa bring their collaborative tour to Union Stage on September 12, 2026, with Grieves also joining the bill. The show centers on the duo’s road-born album Highway Hotel, which came together after Hoppa became Wax’s tour DJ in 2024. On the road, Hoppa’s portable studio turned hotel rooms, green rooms, and the backs of moving vans into rolling recording sessions. The album sits at the intersection of Hoppa’s raw hip-hop instincts and Wax’s melodic range and eclectic lyricism, with a guest list that includes Little Stranger, G Love, K.A.A.N., Jarren Benton, Watsky, Jarv, Demrick, ¡Mayday!, Krysta Youngs, Damn Skippy, Kail Problems, Marley B, 1Ton, SUMPP, and Wax’s twin brother Herbal T.

Wax is a rapper, singer, and songwriter who has been a mainstay of the underground scene for roughly two decades. He was signed to Def Jam Records, has achieved a Number One Billboard hit in several European countries, and has released about a dozen albums. DJ Hoppa is a veteran hip-hop producer who has earned hundreds of millions of streams across his projects, put out music through his own Broken Complex label, and produced tracks for many legendary hip-hop artists.
