Theatre Outing: "Are You Now or Have You Ever Been?"

The Arts Club of Washington’s Drama Committee is organizing a group outing to Arena Stage for Eric Bentley’s docudrama *Are You Now or Have You Ever Been?* Directed by Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro, the play examines the tense 1940s House Committee on Un-American Activities hearings, where public prominence did not shield people from political pressure or the possibility of career-ending accusations. The production comes directly from Off-Broadway.

The outing is offered to Arts Club members and their guests at a discounted group rate. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP early because the group is limited in size.
