Evening of Art Song: Maryland Opera Studio

An Evening of Art Song features the newest artists of the Maryland Opera Studio in a recital by first-year students. The program presents a wide-ranging selection of operatic works connected to the studio’s fall production, including staples from Benjamin Britten’s repertoire as well as pieces that influenced or were influenced by the creative legacy of Britten and his British contemporaries.

The Maryland Opera Studio prepares the next generation of opera singers through performances spanning classic repertoire and provocative new works, while working to build contemporary audiences and sustain the art form.
