"Josquiniana": A World Premiere
Washington Musica Viva presents an evening pairing a new commission with established classical works. The centerpiece is the world premiere of Stephen M. Cormier’s *Josquiniana*, written for flugelhorn and piano and inspired by the music of Renaissance composer Josquin Des Prez.
The program also includes Mozart’s Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, K. 478, and Jean Françaix’s *Cinq danses exotiques* for saxophone and piano.
