Mountain Grass Unit - Appalachian Smoke Tour

Mountain Grass Unit brings its modern bluegrass sound to 9:30 Club as part of the Appalachian Smoke Tour. The Birmingham, Alabama, quartet combines precise picking, adventurous improvisation, and four-part vocal harmony in music that is both deeply rooted and forward-looking.

The band first drew attention with its 2024 EP, *Runnin’ From Trouble*, and followed it with a breakthrough year that included nearly 100 national tour dates, more than 30 sold-out headline shows, and appearances at Telluride Bluegrass, DelFest, Northlands, and WinterWonderGrass. Mountain Grass Unit also received the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Momentum Artist of the Year award. The group is currently working on a full-length album expected in late summer and has recently supported The Infamous Stringdusters and Kitchen Dwellers, in addition to sharing stages with Billy Strings and Greensky Bluegrass.
