ANNUAL ASDF/BAILA4LIFE LATIN DANCE COMPETITION
The Annual ASDF/Baila4Life Latin Dance Competition brings together Montgomery County’s top high school Latin dance students for an evening of competitive choreography at Strathmore’s Music Center. Rooted in a program that began at Seneca Valley High School in 1999, the event has been staged at Strathmore since 2010 and is designed to support students’ social and emotional wellbeing while promoting fitness, teamwork, and cultural connection through Latin dance. Students perform in both Senior and Junior divisions, with routines spanning salsa, chacha, merengue, and bachata, along with special formats such as Jack and Jill, Parent/Student, and Best in Show group performances.
The competition is presented by Strathmore Presents with support from MCPS, and tickets are available beginning November 2. The Senior Division takes the stage in November 2026, while the Junior Division follows in March 2027.
When: Senior Division on Monday, November 23, 2026; Junior Division on Tuesday, March 9, 2027.
Showtimes: Both divisions begin at 7pm.
Tickets: $15 in advance; $25 at the door. Tickets go on sale November 2.
Venue: Music Center at Strathmore.
Lineup: Senior and Junior division competitors performing duets and partner routines in Salsa, Chacha, Merengue, and Bachata, plus Jack and Jill, Parent/Student, and Best in Show (Group) categories.
