Free Workshop: Gathering and Protesting Safely with The Democracy Security Project

This free workshop, presented by The Democracy Security Project (DSP), offers practical training in staying safe during protests, community gatherings, and other public events. Launched in 2024 by experienced organizers, DSP has already trained over 16,000 individuals across all 50 states. In the session, attendees will learn de-escalation best practices and how to plan for, respond to, and recover from disruption, aggression, or harassment. The workshop covers skills and resources for before, during, and after collective action, with a focus on empowering civil society leaders and teams to organize safely.
