Kol Nidre

Kol Nidre is a High Holiday service at Sixth & I centered on gathering, reflection, and the spiritual work of making space for what feels difficult to understand or carry. The service is part of Sixth & I’s broader High Holidays programming, which invites participants to pause, reconnect with themselves and their community, and explore Jewish wisdom, ritual, and more hopeful possibilities.

This year’s High Holiday theme draws on *kotzer ruach*, a Hebrew phrase meaning “shortness of spirit” or “a constriction of the soul.” The concept is presented as a reminder that community and ritual can help people breathe more fully and expand their capacity to meet moments of uncertainty, grief, and change.
