This annual campuswide open house features artistic and creative performances, experiences and activities at The Clarice, and across the University of Maryland campus. #### Join Arts for All and the College of Arts and Humanities for a free concert marking the 250th anniversary of the United States. The Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library (MSPAL) connects people to collections that inspire and enable research and creativity in the fields of music, theatre and dance. Arts for All, a campuswide initiative, builds a campus culture of creativity and innovation, making Maryland a national leader in leveraging the combined power of the arts, technology and social justice to address the world’s grand challenges. The arts center us—in learning, in discovery and in action—and Arts for All invites students, staff, faculty and community members to explore the transformative creative opportunities at UMD.

Experience an interactive installation and performance that unfolds the rich history of dance through the lens of professor of dance, Alvin Mayes, and the trajectory of various D.C. artists in relation to UMD. This event is part of Maryland Day 2026, our annual campus-wide open house featuring artistic and creative performances, experiences and activities at The Clarice, and across the University of Maryland campus.
