JOSH RITTER: A Book Of Gold Thrown Open

Josh Ritter brings *A Book of Gold Thrown Open* to the Birchmere for a career-spanning evening of music. Rather than centering on one particular album, the tour draws from more than two decades of Ritter’s work as a singer, songwriter, musician, and artist.

Ritter has released twelve studio albums, including the critically acclaimed 2019 album *Fever Breaks* and his latest, *I Believe in You, My Honeydew*. His songs have been recorded or performed by artists including Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, and Bob Weir. He is also a national best-selling novelist, with two books to his name: *Bright’s Passage* and *The Great Glorious Goddamn of It All*. His work has been praised for its empathy, vivid imagery, melodic writing, and literary quality.
