Tickets: Free.

Lineup: The Speaks, Crash Boom Bang, and Kill For Sushi.

The Speaks: Active from 1997 through 2009, The Speaks became known for large, melodic anthems, energetic live performances, and a reputation for exuberant after-show celebrations. Their radio debut came on DC101 in 2003, and they ultimately sold out the 9:30 Club five times before their finale. The Filipino-American band developed an international audience, signed with Warner Music Asia in 2005, and released the album “Life’s a Joke” in the Philippines. Its second single, “High,” received extensive worldwide airplay and continues to be covered by artists online. Their final EP, “This Is the Time,” arrived in 2008 through Universal Music Asia. The band also shared stages with national acts, received heavy video rotation on MTV Asia and MYX Music Channel, and continues to attract more than one million monthly streams.

Crash Boom Bang: Returning in 2026 after nearly a decade away, Crash Boom Bang reunite the group that helped shape Washington, D.C.’s pop-rock scene in the early 2010s. The band established its local reputation with repeated sold-out shows at Jammin Java before touring nationally with acts including Plain White T’s, Mayday Parade, and Gin Blossoms. Their 2012 EP, “These Wild Things,” included songs placed in films and television programs such as “American Pie” and “Beauty and the Beast.” Their “V.I.P.” music video exceeded 300,000 views, following their debut album “Gold Rush,” which was produced by Plain White T’s frontman Tom Higgenson. After their last major show in 2014, the members pursued separate paths, but this one-night reunion returns them to the venue where their story began, promising high-energy pop-rock, sing-along choruses, and an exuberant celebration of their history.

Kill For Sushi: Fronted by Angie Pepa, Kill For Sushi is a new project formed after Pepa and her bandmates rebranded their former group, Wandering Lies, following eight years together. The lineup includes guitarist Noli Conty, bassist Myk Menez, guitarist David Chaletzky, and drummer Ben Tufts. As Wandering Lies, the musicians won four battle-of-the-bands competitions, earned a 2021 Washington Area Music Association nomination for best rock group, and reached the finals of Hot 99.5’s 2020 iHeartRadio Festival opening-act competition. Kill For Sushi is working on an album planned for release in 2026.
