WALTER BEASLEY
Walter Beasley is an award-winning alto and soprano saxophonist, singer, composer, producer, and educator. He has released 26 albums since 1987 and founded Affable Publishing and Affable Records. His career combines smooth jazz performance with teaching, writing, and educational work.
Beasley began performing at age 13 with Los Elegantes and taught at Berklee College of Music for 35 years. His honors include Billboard’s 2019 Smooth Jazz Artist of the Year and Soul Tracks’ 2023 Instrumentalist of the Year. Recent work includes the albums *Live & Blessed* and *Tribute to Soul*, the Spanish-language album *Sin Palabras*, and new singles and educational publications.

Background: Beasley has been among the top 10 best-selling African American saxophonists globally since 1998. He has also released educational DVDs, authored four books, and continues to teach through online classes and short lessons on social media.

His later projects include *Quotes for Grown Folks*, reissues of *Go With The Flow* and *Backatcha!*, and the YouTube ambient music channel The Bleu Zone Ambient Improv.
