Walter Beasley, the celebrated saxophonist and recording artist, brings his signature blend of R&B and jazz to the Birchmere on October 30, 2026. Known for his warm alto and soprano saxophone tone, Beasley has enjoyed a decades-spanning career as a performer, educator, and producer, earning honors such as Billboard’s Smooth Jazz Artist of the Year in 2019 and Soul Tracks’ Instrumentalist of the Year in 2023. This concert showcases his latest work alongside classics from his extensive catalog, highlighting a musician who has released 26 albums, authored books, and continues to inspire through online teaching and social media.

Note: Walter Beasley began performing at age 13 and has been a full-time musician since 1987. He taught at Berklee College of Music for 35 years and continues to offer online classes. Recent releases include the 2025 Spanish-language album *Sin Palabras*, the singles "Abur Paisano" and "Lazy Afternoon (Kenny’s Groove)," and an ambient music channel on YouTube called "The Bleu Zone Ambient Improv." His performance style blends smooth jazz, R&B, and soul, often featuring vocals and original compositions.
