Miró Art Workshops

The Miró Art Workshops at the Kreeger Museum are a series of three hands-on art sessions inspired by the works of Joan Miró, designed for adult artists of all skill levels. Led by Kreeger Museum teaching artists Jeneen Piccuirro, Susan Hostetler, and Cheryl Edwards, each workshop explores a different medium—monoprinting, painting with India ink, and collagraph printmaking—drawing inspiration from the museum’s Miró collection. Participants may attend one, two, or all three workshops, held on three consecutive Saturdays in July and August.

When: Saturday, July 11, 1:00pm–2:30pm; Saturday, August 1, 1:00pm–2:30pm; Saturday, August 8, 1:00pm–2:30pm. (Note: The August 8 workshop is sold out.)

Tickets: Materials fee of $30 per workshop. The August 8 session is sold out; to be added to a waitlist, email [email protected].

Lineup: Teaching artists Jeneen Piccuirro, Susan Hostetler, and Cheryl Edwards. Each artist leads a different medium: monoprinting, painting with India ink, and collagraph printmaking.

Run time: Each workshop runs 1 hour 30 minutes.

Ages: Designed for adults ages 18 and up. No artistic experience required.

Venue: The Kreeger Museum, 2401 Foxwall Road, NW, Washington, D.C. 20007. The workshop is held downstairs and requires navigating approximately 30 stairs.
