Hot Club of San Francisco
The Hot Club of San Francisco brings its signature gypsy jazz and swing to Blues Alley for a single evening. The band, led by guitarist, songwriter, and arranger Paul "Pazzo" Mehling, draws inspiration from Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli's Quintette du Hot Club de France. Their repertoire blends gypsy jazz standards, pop songs, and original compositions by Mehling, performed by a lineup that includes violinist Evan Price, additional vocalists, and a swing rhythm section. As described in Michael Dregni's *Django Reinhardt and the Illustrated History of Gypsy Jazz*, the group is recognized as one of the first American gypsy jazz bands.
