Mustard Service

On August 27, 2026, Union Stage in Washington, D.C. hosts a free concert headlined by Miami indie rock band Mustard Service, with support from Pity Party (Girls Club), Manwolves, and Chicano Mosh. Mustard Service, who playfully describe their sound as "zest pop," draw on rock, surf, jazz, funk, and bossa nova while weaving in Cuban, Uruguayan, Argentinian, and Mexican influences. The three-piece lineup features Marco Rivero Ochoa on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Leo Cattani on keyboard, and Adam Perez on drums, and their Latin heritage is reflected in frequent Spanish lyrics and vibrant rhythms. Their latest single "Big Time" explores personal growth, overcoming struggles, and the painful decision to cut off a toxic friend.

The supporting bill brings together varied indie and punk acts. Pity Party (Girls Club) is the project of Julian Isaac A., who started the band in 2014 while in high school in Southern California; after a four-year hiatus, he returned with 2022's Hard Times/Bad Trips, which included the stream-breaking "I Hope That u Think of Me," followed by 2024's introspective Even Though I Can't Sleep... Manwolves is a Chicago quintet blending alternative, rock, hip-hop, and jazz, known for their energetic live shows and festival appearances at SXSW and Bonnaroo. Chicano Mosh is a Southern California surf punk band that mixes classic surf sounds with Latino influences for high-energy performances.
