The Thrills W/ Johnny Spampinato

The Thrills bring a “spine-tingling” rock-and-roll performance to Hank Dietle’s Tavern, joined by special guest Johnny Spampinato. The Thrills feature seasoned Washington-area musicians with extensive experience in rock, country, roots, and Americana bands.

The band includes David Kitchen on lead vocals and guitar, an award-winning singer-songwriter known for his work with the David Kitchen Band and the Thrillbillys; Andy Rutherford on guitar, slide guitar, and vocals, a longtime DC-area musician who has performed with the Thrillbillys, Ruthie and the Wranglers, Cathy Ponton King, and Little Pink; Johnny Combs on bass and vocals, a veteran of projects including Evan Johns and the H-Bombs, Tex Rubinowitz, Pink and Black, and Doc Scantlin and the Imperial Palms Orchestra; and Brian Alpert on drums and vocals, whose past work includes Cowboy Jazz, The Assassins, and Doc Scantlin and the Imperial Palms Orchestra, as well as touring with guitarist Danny Gatton.

Spampinato is known for his work with NRBQ, The Incredible Casuals, and the Spampinato Brothers.
