Jason Calhoun / DAN / Dogs

Jason Calhoun, DAN, and Dogs share an evening of experimental music and live performance at Rhizome DC. The lineup brings together Philadelphia sound artist Jason Calhoun, DMV-based artist and educator DAN, whose work combines sound with furniture-based installations, and Dogs, Isaac’s project blending digital punk, ambient music, clarinet, and vaporwave.

Calhoun’s solo work continues his project naps. He has performed with Hour, ylayali, Obody, and Paper Armies, and has released music through Patient Sounds Intl., Dear Life Records, Lily Tapes & Discs, Florabelle, Gertrude Tapes, and Bridgetown Records. His latest album, *revelations of divine love*, is ambient and electronic and was released in August. DAN’s recent research focuses on the intimacies of the Monobloc chair, described as the most manufactured and widely distributed chair in industrial history. Dogs is based in Sterling, Virginia.
