GIRLS ROCK! DC JULY SHOWCASE
Girls Rock! DC brings its July summer camp to a close with a high-energy showcase at Black Cat, where ten brand-new youth bands take the stage to perform original songs they wrote and rehearsed during a week-long music camp. The concert celebrates the creativity and growth of young musicians from the Washington, DC area, offering the public a chance to support grassroots music education and witness the next generation of rock stars in action. The event also serves as a fundraiser for Girls Rock! DC’s youth music programs, which provide instruments, instruction, and a supportive community for campers.
When: Saturday, July 18, 2026.
Showtimes: Doors open at 11:00AM; the showcase runs until 3:30PM.
Tickets: $10 for youth, $20–$30 for adults. No one will be turned away at the door for lack of funds.
Lineup: Ten youth bands formed during the camp, each performing an original song composed during the week.
Run time: Approximately 4.5 hours.
Ages: All ages welcome; the event is family-friendly and youth-focused.
Venue: Black Cat, located at 1811 14th Street NW, Washington, DC. The club is just three blocks from the U Street/Cardozo Metro Station, making it accessible via public transit.
