Samuel Prather presents A Nat King Cole Christmas – From Swing to Soul, a holiday concert at Blues Alley celebrating Nat King Cole’s influential style. Award-winning Washington, D.C. pianist, vocalist, and bandleader Samuel Prather leads an intimate piano trio through seasonal classics, highlighting the musical connection between Cole’s elegant swing and the warm, soulful holiday sounds of the 1970s. The evening promises sophisticated arrangements, accomplished musicianship, and holiday cheer.

Prather is a Howard University graduate and DownBeat Award winner who has performed with artists including Hugh Masekela and Cyrus Chestnut.
