SALLY & TOM
Sally & Tom is the regional premiere of a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Suzan-Lori Parks (Topdog/Underdog), directed by Timothy Douglas and running May 27 through June 28, 2026 at Round House Theatre. Described as a “ferocious and funny dramedy,” the play operates as a nesting doll: a scrappy theatre group stages a show about Sally Hemings and Thomas Jefferson, with the playwright playing Sally and her partner directing and playing Tom. As art and life collide, rehearsals spiral into chaos, unearthing powerful truths about race, power, and art. The production is by turns funny, gut-wrenching, and unflinchingly honest, promising to stay with audiences long after the final bow.
